We’ll teach you individually or in small groups, each led by a design tutor who is usually a practicing architect. Our team of academics will also support you in areas of history, theory, technology, and computing. We take a distinctly ‘hands-on’ approach to architecture. Our course emphasizes learning through the process of making, and then reflecting critically on what has been made, developing your creativity, and your critical judgment. Our driving forces are imagination, investigation, experimentation, and innovation, and you’ll explore a wide variety of approaches, interests, and areas of work. The core of the architecture is the design studio, and the main emphasis of our course is developing your design ability. Since our key aim is to push your creativity and judgment to the maximum, you can expect the course to be highly demanding.
