PGcert Business Skills

A core part of the program is devoted to your self-development, so you’ll examine the personal characteristics, different behaviors, and styles of leadership. You’ll also develop key business skills, including leadership, people management, change management, and the ability to analyze and interpret financial information. You’ll graduate with a set of transferrable skills, including leadership, creative problem solving, managing time and resources effectively. You’ll not only be able to demonstrate your commercial awareness by talking confidently about business issues, but also highlight your judgment in knowing which theories, approaches, and techniques to use to solve a range of business problems. On completion, you’ll be better prepared to enter a highly competitive graduate recruitment market or have the opportunity to fast-track onto our Master’s in Management with recognition of your prior learning.

Employability

Graduates from the Business School have gone on to a range of managerial and professional careers from management consultant and business analyst to marketing officer and foreign sales representative. Recent employers include large multinational corporations and SMEs in various sectors, including Hays, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Santander, and Warburtons.

The PgCert is ideal for those who want to work towards a full master’s qualification more flexibly. On completion, you can take a break or join our Master’s in Management with recognition of your prior learning.
