Employability
A career in sports analytics can lead to multiple roles in a wide range of exciting settings with amazing opportunities for career progression. You might be employed directly by a professional sports club to work with their coaching or scouting staff or work for one of the many businesses that elite teams and individual athletes approach for consultancy. Job titles may include Performance Analyst, Sports Analyst, Sport Scientist, or Data Analyst. You will develop your skills and knowledge in a directly applied context, further supported by industry experience through the placement module. This will ensure that you are ‘employment ready’ in your knowledge, skills, and experience. The strong industry experience and contacts of our staff team also mean that you will be well-connected to potential jobs as they arise. The visualization, analytic and statistical skills acquired during this program can be applied to different sets of data across different industries, which provide a unique opportunity for graduates to have a wide range of destinations both within and outside of the sports industry (additional qualifications may be needed). Requirements
- DEGREE- Minimum of 2:1 honors in a sport, mathematics, or computer science-related area. 2:2 honors in the related subject areas will also be considered at the discretion of the course leader.
- Candidates with exceptional and extensive work experience in sport and/or data analytics may also be considered at the discretion of the course leader.
- Overall IELTS 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in Writing, Speaking, Reading, and Listening (or recognized equivalent).
