This course offers the opportunity of year-long placement between years two and three. If you choose to take this option, you’ll spend your third year on a placement with a relevant company or organization, adding valuable practical experience to your growing academic knowledge. The extra placement year means it will take four years to complete your studies, instead of three.

Employability
Our Computing for Business graduates combines business knowledge with technical ability. You’ll be qualified for many different IT jobs including systems/business/information analysis, systems development and integration, and web application development. You could also progress quickly into management roles in the IT and information systems fields. For graduates who want to continue their studies at the postgraduate level, the Computing for the Business undergraduate course provides a suitable entry route to a variety of master’s courses, both at UEL and elsewhere. Some of our graduates work with local businesses to develop their projects from the initial idea to a complete solution as full-stack developers. We have graduates working with web technologies, making and developing apps, working on information analysis, big data, and supporting IT infrastructures.
