KEELE UNIVERSITY Overview
Keele University is a public university established in 1949 as the University College of North Staffordshire. In 1962, it gained university status under the Royal Charter. The 20th century’s first new UK university is set up to promote interdisciplinary and multi-disciplinary scholarship. Keele is a rural campus University occupied 625-acres of countryside in the heart of the UK with over 10,000 students from over 140 countries enrolled.
At Keele, various courses at a different levels, from graduation to post-graduation and post-graduation research, are offered. The University is academically strong in accounting, Business, marketing, economics, management, chemistry, research, geography, history, bio-science, film industry, philosophy, etc. Most undergraduates can study abroad for a semester in one of Keele’s 50 partner universities. Keele was the pioneer to offer the Dual Honours degree, and around 70% of students are still taking it. There are also Single honors degrees available.
The University delivers a unique and international learning experience. It has a special student service center where guidance and advice on managing courses and money are provided. Keele is a place of research, and academic excellence and research of the University have enough impact on society. Here students are taught in small groups by well-qualified faculty and provided with one-to-one access to academics.
